Here are some common mistakes that people make while buying a puppy.

1.  The biggest mistakes that puppy buyer's make is sending money to breeders overseas.  Most people don't realize that over 90% of all scams are run over sea. Not only that  do you really want your puppy shipped over 3000 miles when you could be buying a puppy from a breeder in the USA.

2.  When you purchase a puppy make sure that you pay by credit card or paypal ONLY.  If you pay by Money Order or Western Union you have no guarantee that the breeder you are purchasing your puppy from will even send you your puppy. Paying by credit card or paypal guarantee's you that you will at least receive your new puppy because if you don't get your puppy you can stop payment and or file a complaint through paypal. Be smart pay by Credit Card or Paypal. If you are serious about buying a puppy and you don't have a credit card or a paypal account then go to a Wal-Mart ,Walgreens or any major retailer and purchase a pre paid credit card for the amount that you need to purchase your new puppy.

3.  One of the more common things we hear from dog buyers is that they are interested in a a puppy that a breeder has but the breeder wont' allow them to come out to their house to see where the dogs are being raised. This is a very big concern for most dog buyers. What dog buyers need to keep in mind is the fact that most breeders won't allow you to visit their kennel for safety and security reasons. You might be wondering well what safety reasons could their be? For starters most diseases in dogs are very contagious and especially to puppies.  So if you have visited other kennels you could easily be transmitting deadly diseases to the next kennel and not even know it.  For instance you could go to a breeders kennel and come into contact with a deadly disease such as parvo or any other known disease and not even know you came into contact with it and when you visit the next kennel you are bringing all of those diseases with you. This is why this is such a big deal for dog breeders. Now most dog breeders that allow you out to their kennel will require you to take off your shoes and also will ask you to thoroughly wash your hands.  In most cases if a breeder requires you’re to take off your shoes and wash your hands you can almost bet he or she cares a great deal about the puppies he or she is raising.

4.   Make sure the breeder you are buying from is knowledgeable and also a reputable breeder.  We know this sounds easy but this is a very common mistake that puppy buyer's make.
